I reviewed the film for my zine (also posted on my blog) a bunch of years back but I'm afraid I'm not selling my Danish ex-rental vhs. I don't recall ever having found other copies than my own. It's pretty rare I'd say.

Thanks for the response. Your review was actually how I found out this vhs existed!

Of course, this is a Canadian television movie. The company and TV station that made it made over 30 movies together. I'm trying to collect all the video releases from around the world. Strangely, although I know of many releases from Sweden, Norway, and Finland, this is the only Danish one I know of. Considering how bad these movies are, perhaps Danes just have better taste than their Nordic neighbors.

But seriously, I do wonder if Polygram put out more. And if you could post a scan of the cover, it would be appreciated.

I was afraid you might be the director's son or something and you were trying to find the film.

No worries, I'll post a scan when I locate the tape (I've got a few of them in removal boxes at the moment).

The funny thing is I was tempted to write that perhaps Danes lacked the sophistication to appreciate the artistic genius that Canadians possess! This would explain why there were no German releases. I'm sure both Danes and Canadians can agree that Germans are uncultured barbarians.

There's a small label here that reissues mostly low-budget Canadian movies. They told me they actually contacted the producer's son trying to find out who owns the rights. Unfortunately, nobody seems to know. I'm sure you are disappointed to learn that a deluxe dvd edition won't be coming out anytime soon.

Apparently, BIKINI LIGAEN is going to be screened at the Cinemateque in Copenhagen in two weeks. On VHS!!!!!
